On my first day in the US Navy, at the ripe old age of 17, I was standing in line for "chow". A great big guy stepped out of the kitchen and hollered "anyone here from Long Island?" And now 60 years later I am asking the same question. I find very little about places to eat on Looooooong Island although no one looks under-nourished and deprived. From Brooklyn and Queens all the way to Montauk Point there has to be someplace other than the Currasqueira Baierada, which was recommended by Steve Rushmore and which was great. Any others???????
