I have done dogs every way that they can be done. Grilled, baked, fried, nuked, boiled and cold. My favorite way is on the grill and the next way is nuked. Boiled is OK and cold and raw is OK. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

I think flat grilled seems to work best;cook the outside skin, keeping juices in without destroying flavor and juices inside.Over boiling, steaming & broiling sometimes can really ruin a good dog. Buddy

I am glad Sundancer mentioned nuked. This is the perfect method for those days when it is 100 degrees in the shade and you do not want to heat up the house. I think nuked beats boiled or steamed even under ordinary circumstances. Of course, my preferences would be grilled over charcoal or broiled indoors, weather permitting. The microwave is not a bad choice though if you have mastered your machine.

Split down the middle and grilled. Other wise pan fried with onions at the same time. BKK

Slow roasted, or whipped into a delightful frappe, making for a tasty hot dog flavored beverage. Pass the ketchup!
