One from the vaults...

While growing up in Hawaii, I frequented (read: went whenever I could con my parents into it) a burger outfit called Check Burger. Maybe. Coulda been Chek Burger, Czech Burger, or none of the above. I know for a fact that that the burger I loved was the Check (Chek? Czech?) burger. The thing that made it different, and special, was it that it was served with a fried egg on it. Fantastic stuff, but the only other 2 people I know who remember it are my parents. Any ideas???

Well, you could always grill a hamburger patty and top it with a fried egg.

The "Red Robin" chain has a burger similiar to what you describe, also. (Royal Red Robin Burger) http://www.redrobin.com/

Sounds like a variation of the Hawaiian "Loco Moco"-----a patty with a fried egg on top of it.
