ISO Bread used to make Jack in the Box

toasted Cibatta sandwich. I can't think of the name right now. It is very good. The bread is about 2 inches wide and a foot long. Crusty on the outside, soft in the inside. I've been looking for the bread in every store I go in, to try and find something like it.

It's not going to help you much in North Carolina but, without question, the best Ciabatta bread I've ever had hails from the Leesburg, Virginia ovens of South Street Under bakery and deli (see: http://www.frommers.com/destinations/thehuntcountry/D51017.html ). Such is directly across from Leesburg's Mighty Midget Kitchen which has also been praised on this site (http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=776&SearchTerms=Mighty,Midget,Kitchen ). FYI.

Whole Foods sells a larger version that is very good. Heck maybe if you get to know a local baker pretty well, maybe he/she will bake you a few loaves.
