BBQ in Flint MI. Famous Daves?

I am on my way to Flint (and area). Last time we were there we tried Famous Dave's on Miller Rd and really liked it. I was disappointed to find out it was a chain restaurant. That doesn't mean they can't do a good job but I always like to feel like I'm getting something unique when I travel.
Can anyone tell me about any hidden gems for BBQ in or around Flint or is Famous Dave's the best they have?

Thanks for the input but there is just a little bit of di8stance between Michigan and Bama baby. Whatchoo tinking mon? Maybe you should spend a little bit more time in geography class instead of looking at the idy bidy tiddies at Panama Jacks!!!
