Bird 'n Burger circa 1965

I'm looking for information on a chain concept called "Bird 'n' Burger", circa 1965-1969. It featured chicken, hamburgers, and pizza, and possibly soft serve "ice cream". There was one in Landover Hills, Maryland, at that time, and site still exists as a nursery--but the building has been obliterated. I'd like to know if there were any other locations.

I just read an obituary about the guy that started that chain. It was in the washington post.
