Huge Turkey Legs

We were racing today at the NHRA drags in Bristol. There were selling huge turkey legs. The looked good, but I did not have the nerve to sample. They were $6.00 each. People looked strange carrying around the huge legs and biting on them. They looked good but looked sorta sloppy.
Any comments on taste, etc.?
