Fried Chicken

We recently returned for a visit to the Charlotte area and decided to try Price's Chicken Coop-locals call it "The Coop". I highly recommend it-1/4 white with cole slaw, tater rounds, hush puppies and roll is $6.10-dark is $4.40. The sweet iced tea is excellent! There is a park near by where you can picnic. The menu also has sandwiches. etc. Location is 1914 Camden Road at Park Avenue-near downtown.

If you don't want the extra trimmings-Order what they call the Chicken sandwich- the white meat sandwich if a fried chicken breast and wing tucked inside a hamburger bun. So you really get two pieces of fried chicken with a bun for about 3.00. They also have the dark meat sandwich if you prefer the leg and thigh. We live in Gastonia-about 20 miles away-so when any one in our company has an appointment in that area-they always pick up lunch from Prices-the fish sandwiches are good also-you get about 4-5 pieces of fish on the bun and can have tartar sauce if you like.
