trip to High Point NC

We are making a furniture buying trip to NC, driving 81-S through Virginia, to 220-S and then NC68 - S. I know we'll be having great bbq, but I'm looking for other suggestions as well. Thanks for any suggestions!

If you are around Roanoke, Va. at mealtime, "The Roanoker" is a classic Roadfood place. Southern home-style cooking. I've been there for breakfast as well as dinner withing the last couple of months and it's excellent. It's on Colonial Ave. in southwest Roanoke; shouldn't be too far from I81.
