Hi Everyone, I was just wondering if anyone new of a concession trailer supplier that sells a quality product at a reasonable price. I've been searching the net but not alot to go on. Some look great but really expensive -some look ok but still a little expensive. any sugestions on a reputable supplier ?

If this is a business question, you should put it in the Restaurant Professional Section.

Hey Pappy, I think Cin is right, this may be the wrong thread, BUT any time you buy from a manufacturer, you're gonna pay for all their stuff and the labor to get it in there plus profit, etc. Sometimes it's best to buy from another vendor/concession guy(or gal) who's got one for sale....say for example.....me! The Chili Man from Charlotte NC. You are welcome to PM me your info and I'll get you some info on my 10 foot concession trailer with a whole bunch of goodies in it. Very lightly used and I'm ready to move it.

No Curby, had the oportunity to buy a 10 footer and thought I would have the time to put it together to my liking and do bigger events, etc. But I am just too busy with my day to day and being El Papa Grande. I am still cranking it out old school with my T.D. and I think that's just the way I like it.

quote:Originally posted by djtomatoe try this place.i got all the equipment i needed to get my trailer set up DJ, I looked at the first page and prices on water tanks are almost 3 times normal prices. I know everyone has to make a dollar or two but if all his prices are in line with his water storage tanks he is a highway robber, no make that a concession road robber, oh hell you get the point. If you are just starting out, would really go with a used trailer. Keep looking at new but to be cost effective used can be exellent choice. Do not know when you are planning to get started but good values are about to hit the market in about two months. People have tried the festival's,fair, and carnival routes. For the most part all of these will be off for the season. Either way vendors will sell their trailers. Moving into one more specialized, just newer,or getting out of altogether (retirement or did not work for them). Now when looking at used, unless you have the ability to inspect all equipment, and trailer structure would have someone with expertise do this for you.

Bought our 1998, 7x16' factory made trailer in late January when temp was about 15 degrees with a 30 mph wind. Perfect weather to look at a trailer. It was on Craigs List and I offered her $2,500 for it along with a ton of equipment. It had been used for BBQ but hubby had died in September and wife needed the money bad. For everything else like decals, additional equipment and such it is hard to beat Ebay. Ebay also has a lot of trailers but don't bid unless they are close enough to check out first. Also if you research it, only about 1 in 10 will actually sell because they are often overpriced or the reserve is set way too high. IMHO, don't buy new until your business is established enough to justify it. Mike S.
