Cleanmonk ... Welcome to RF ... Funny, it might be a while until one of us fesses up to ever having been to a BK ... Let me suggest a clandestine approach to your dilemma ... when ordering tell the you are "sensitive" to oh, I don't know, "onion powder" and go from there to charm the info out of the counter person or manager who might tell you to reassure you.

Burker King does publish an ingredients list for their foods. The ingredients list for the Chicken Fries is on page two of this Adobe Acrobate PDF document: http://www.bk.com/Nutrition/PDFs/ingredients.pdf Please note this product is high in fat and sodium. As a general rule, it is very difficult to reproduce the spice mixture of these foods, since they only list "spices" on the ingredients lists. They do tell you it includes such seasoning agents as garlic, onion, salt, MSG, paprika, black pepper, etc. Add spices that don't have to be declared, and, because it is not one spice but a blend of spices, and you see the problem. None of these companies will give out the recipe, for they consider it their intellectual property. There are people out there who make a hobby of developing copycat recipes. To find these, type in the name of the fast food item into a search engine followed by the words copycat recipe, and you will usually find some for each product. In the case of the Chicken Fries, someone suggested using Zatarain's Wonderful Fish Fry as a coating. Zatarain's probably won't give you the exact spice mixture of their product, either.
