we're trying to figure out what we want to cook but we're not sure what we can do! what would you make with: - eggs
- thin slices of beef (similar to shabu shabu meat)
- tofu (fried & regular soft tofu)
- ramen noodles
- frozen garlic bread
- salad
- rice
- pasta shells & fettucine
Give us some recipes and we'll try to make it for lunch!

Ramen noodles, pasta shells, fettucine AND rice along with garlic bread? Guess you could make a carb omelet.

Okay... Saute onions, garlic, shabu shabu and tofu. Scramble it with the eggs. Guess I'm in a breakfast mood.

ann peeples Please tell me what shabu shabu meat is....then I will be able to better help! Shabu shabu meat is technically beef sirloin sliced really thin. "shabu shabu" is where you have a pot of boiling water in front of you, and you add pieces of meat, seafood, vegetables and noodle to the water until it cooks. You then remove what you add, and dip it in a variety of sauce and eat with rice!! Really easy to make at home. If youre into spicy, hotpot or (huo guo) is much like shabu shabu where you add food to the boiling water to cook the food, but instead of just water, the broth consists of lots of spices and is very flavorful.

I would take that meat and quickly fry it and make it into a steak sandwich with the garlic bread , and salad on the side.

MM the fried rice idea sounds good!!!!! I don't think I have enough meat to make two steak sandwiches :[ we'll see though! I'll take a picture of the masterpiece and post it so you can see what we ended up making!! @mar52 This place doesn't specialize in only shabu shabu. Its more of a little cafe. It's called Coffee Break in Walnut, CA I recommend the spicy shabu, chicken fried steak and I'm not a big fan of the thai iced tea but everyone else loves it here! You can also try The Balcony in Irvine, CA. Their personal shabu shabu's are a little bit of expensive so you should go for dinner to make the most of your money. I recommend the tomato soup based one, or spicy miso!!

This poor kid has been followed around by someone marking her posts as spam, and then met with negative comments. Give her a break.I appreciate a good joke and have an awesome sense of humor, but there is a time and place, meaning maybe we should feel people out before bombarding her with our particular brand of humor.
