where to eat in geneva elgin illinois

looking for some good roadfood out here can anyone help?

If you are living in the Randall Road area, there are a ton of places to eat.....except they are all fast food or corporate type places. One exception is Village Squire on Randall in South Elgin. It's a 3 store chain that has it's base unit in it's original location in West Dundee where it started out as a dive bar shared with a liquor store over 40 years ago. In Geneva there is my current favorite, Citizen Kane which is downtown on State Street under the old Geneva movie theater marque. It's a bar for the main part but has a very good and creative chef who serves everything from quiche and polenta to steaks, burgers and pasta. Their jalapeno avocado soup is great! They will be moving across the street during November, go now to get the feel of the old movie theater lobby it once was plus scenes from "the road to Perdition" that was partly filmed in Geneva.
