who's going on Nashville Roadfood tour?

Hi , it's Ellen from Atlantic City area.
I'll be flying from Philly airport to Nashville for both the morning and afternoon tours.

Who else is going? And where are you driving/flying in from ?!?

I'm a poker dealer in Atlantic City; how about you ?
I was on the NJ hot dog tour a year and a half ago.......and had lots of fun. (and some great Italian hot dogs!)

see you in Nashville?!

A friend & I will be doing the afternoon tour. Hubby wasn't interested, so it became a girls' weekend out!!! We're driving in (about a 5 hour drive).

Other folks in our community are going to N'ville to run in the marathon the same day. They have been "training" for a while now. Our circle of friends has laughed with us & said we're "training" for our trip to N'ville, too. Bring on the chicken!!!

Janet and I will be in Nashville for the Weekend. We look forward to seeing all of you at the Loveless for the beginning and end of each Tour. Our Scotties travel wil us, so plan on greeting the Pups also! We won't be on the Bus due to some medication issues I have, but we will be there before and after.

We will have Poverty Pete with us, He is a Nashville resident and can give good advice for places to see, even with a city full of Running people!!

Ellen, Check your email for a message.

I'm glad a got a few nice responses.......thanks to both of you...

Thought I would get a lot more!! Where is my Welcome Mat?!?
Perhaps some of you don't get on Roadfood as much as I do?!

Perhaps I'm just really into it, cause I'll be flying down, renting a car, staying in a motel, etc...... and it's nice for a change to fly somewhere other than Vegas, LA, Florida.... I already go to those places plenty of times..

Anyway, thanks for your nice welcome mat, Al-the-Mayor!
And looking forward to meeting you, "lost in the mail"

I'm Christine and coming down from NJ for the afternoon tour(1st roadfood tour). I'm making a big road trip out of it stopping in western NC to visit friends, then going to Charleston, SC, Savannah, GA and another visit to a friend in Atlanta. Plan on eating lots of roadfood along the way, Also, I just found out about a Vidalia Onion Festival in GA the week I'm there. I'm really excited.
    See you then

This has the potential for getting many together for one of the best Roadfood get togethers ever. It is highlighting many southern favorites not only for breakfast for for some of the most unusual chicken ever.

I am looking forward to meeting many RF friends that I have never met.

My wife Patti and I are flying in from Chicago. We had planned a Nashville trip before the Roadfood tour was mentioned as a meeting place for our Atlanta based brother-in-law and sister. Bucking the marathon trend, we're staying in the downtown area and planning a few activities. The 4 of us are on the morning tour as I'm an early riser.

I had an opportunity to meet several Chicago based folks on the February Hot Dog Tour and am looking forward to a fun Nashville weekend and meeting some new Roadfooders as well!

    Deal us in!

The long range forecast for Nashville for the Tour Weekend shows probable Sunny and Mid 70's. That's fine with me ! We will be looking for the opportunity to share time with Roadfooders Late Friday evening and Saturday after the tour, and Perhaps a Brunch on Sunday Morning. Depending on your personal travel agenda as to how much or how little you want to extend yourself beyond the great Bus Tour??!!

Contact me via email for additional info, if you are interested.

the 70's sound delightful! Even the 50's would sound good to me right now. (it only got up to about 42 degrees here in the AC area)
I forced myself to get outside and jog in the chilly rain...

(got to prepare for all that good food in Nashville!)

I'll be staying by the airport , too. Got a great deal at the Red Roof Inn off of Donelson Pike . $40 plus tax; website special...

I like the way Red Roof Inns have renovated themselves

I think I will have my first meal Friday at a place called "Cheeseburger Charlies"

My cousin and I are on the morning tour. We have both attended the two previous Roadfood bus tours. They are so much fun, we will attend no matter where they are held. For those of you going for the first time, you are in for a real treat!

We are arriving Thursday night and have a long list of restaurants we want to get to. We are also very much looking forward to meeting all the other Roadfooders who are attending. I can't wait!

Yes, it will be so much fun to be with "like-minded" people!!
I have to be real careful, for instance, around my brother-in-law cause my sister says I talk about FOOD way too much !! (stuff like that apparently is not as important to him)

So it will be fun in Nashville to talk about FOOD all DAY !

Howdy. My wife (Jan) and I will be driving up from Natchitoches, LA, via Martin, TN (to visit with daughter, SIL, & granddaughter-in-production), both ways. We'll hit dinner on Friday night, the morning bus tour, and brunch on Sunday.

My brother and I did the Presidents' Day mini-tour in Austin and loved it, and we're really looking forward to the Nashville experience, as we're both Tenneseans and, in fact, lived in Columbia the first year of our marriage.

I have a ticket for the afternoon tour if anyone needs one.

Photos ! Lots of Photos ! We will be around for the start and finish of each tour, but we won't be tracking the bus from place to place, so you Bus Folks need to preserve the activity on the bus and at the various stops as much as you can. The activities before and after the tour, and the Friday evening and Sunday Morning Brunch will add to the flavor of the pictorial history of this Expedition!

Cajun, my friend... That's why I put out the word. We want everyone to share the fun, if not by attending, then by seeing as much of the activities as possible in a Trip Report on the Tour.

My friend Nancy and I are also making this a girls roadtrip and we're driving in from Memphis for the afternoon tour.
I can't wait! I've been a Roadfood fan since the 1980s so this is an experience I didn't want to miss.
I'm looking forward to meeting other Roadfooders!

By the way--I have a collection of Jane and Michael Stern books from the 1980s on--do they autograph their books during these bus tours?

The other restaurants I plan on hitting while in Nashville are Rotier's, Elliston Place Soda Shop, Arnold's Country Kitchen & Prince's Hot Chicken Shack, all of which I have never been to before. And no trip to Nashville is complete for me without going to one of my very favorite breakfast places in the entire country, Pancake Pantry. And if time allows, I would like to try another meal at Sylvan Park, since my previous meal there was not very good and I think that was an aberration.

Friday morning, I also plan on taking a tour of the state capitol building, which is another little interest of mine.
