your fantasy Ben & Jerry's flavor

To pick up on some earlier comments, I am have felt lately that despite the plethora of B + J's flavors available, only a few have much appeal. Now if I were queen of the world, I would decree that Ben + Jerry's produce an inexhaustible supply of my dream flavors: Smashing Pumpkin: pumpkin ice cream with ginger-molasses cookie chunks and brown sugar-cinnamon swirl Orange You Glad I Didn't Say Banana? Pudding: banana ice cream with crushed vanilla wafers and an orange sherbet swirl White Trash: white chocolate ice cream with white chocolate chunks and white chocolate-macadamia nut cookie dough! So if you could be Queen of the World (or CEO of Ben + Jerry's), what flavor would you create?

I've day dreamed about an ice cream with French Apple Pie flavors: apples, cinnamon, golden raisins and the frosting on the top crust. An suggestions for the name? Upper Crust? etc

I would have them recreate one of my favorites from when I used to work at a Baskin Robbins; Banana Marshmallow. I don't get into a Baskin Robbins too much any more. But when I do, I never see this flavor any more. John

Happy Birthday would have chocolate cake chunks and crumbs and real frosting swirled in neapolitan ice cream. Fluffer Nutter - Peanut butter ice cream with marshmallow fluff swirl.

Edy's Dreamery had a flavor a few years ago. I think it was called Red, White and Blueberry Pie. Blueberry Swirl, Raspberry Swirl and chunks of crust along with Vanilla Ice Cream. They do a Apple Pie Ice Cream now, but the combination of the berries was my wife's and my favorite. Or how about a Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Delight. Big, fat juicy raisins, walnuts and chunks of cookie in a Cinnamon Ice Cream.

Chocolat Noir -- nothing but the deepest, darkest chocolate ice cream imaginable, with chunks of 70 percent chocolate. Mexican Chocolate -- chocolate and cinnamon ice creams swirled together. (I think they actually did something like this as a limited edition a few years ago, but it was called something else.) Can't tell I'm a chocoholic, can you?

Something that might be as yummy as 'French Apple Pie' ice cream... A mixture of my favorite cake and ice cream --- "Black Forest" ice cream ----- it would be dark chocolate ice cream, chunchs of dark chocolate cake, sweet cherries and whipped cream all folded together.

Dearfolk, UltraLicorace! Licorace ice cream with pieces of licorace gummi imbedded therein. I'd also have them recreate a flavor they sold briefly: it was peanut butter ice cream (don't remember the name they gave it), in homage to George Washington Carver. Ah, what that wonderful man did for the lowly peanut! Thankfully there is no scoop shop near me. I'd really have weight problems if there was.... Butterfatsofully, Ort. Carlton in Lovely Bird-Chirpy Wisteria-Bloomy Athens, Georgia.

My dream ice cream would be homemade, real, high fat with ripe strawberries mushed in. We used to make our own ice cream each summer and this was heaven.I have a couple of electric ice cream makers but it's not as much fun as taking turns cranking.

This topic inspired me to do some poking around on Ben & Jerry's website. Did you know that you can actually suggest a flavor? Go to www.benjerry.com and click on the Products tab. Who knows, some of your suggestions could actually become fact!

My ideal flavor would be chocolate Ice cream with marshmellow and caramel swirls. Maybe even put some graham cracker in it too. Has anyone tried the peanut butter cookie dough? Its fabulous!!

Has anyone tried the peanut butter cookie dough? Its fabulous!! Except for the caramel, which it lacks, you just described their new flavor Marsha Marsha Marshmallow. Me, I'd first demand that they bring back the sainted Holy Cannoli, which my wife still mourns regularly. Then I would invent a Nutty Buddy-based ice cream flavor, similar to Haagen-Daaz's Caramel Cone Explosion, but with chopped peanuts. (The H-D is now just Caramel Cone, without the lovely chunks of hard English Toffee that were my favorite part of that ice cream.)

I once submitted my suggested B&J flavor -- Haight Ash-berry -- to them in a contest, but it wasn't a winner. It's also my favorite fantasy ice cream: Dark chocolate ice cream with fudge ripple, raspberry ripple, and semisweet chocolate flakes (NOT the little conical chips; the little flakes that used to be in chocolate chip ice cream).
