yummy and i'm eatin' it

I just have to share my recipe for a funny dip.
In Boston,a woman named Avery, who was SUPER PREPPY (it was the late 80's) introduced me to it. I have changed the recipe slightly, by adding fresh shrimp, but it's worth it.
I have made it many times since. it's addicitve.
Case in point, I had some people over yesterday and made way too much of it and now im sitting here munching on the results... yum!
Shrimp dip Avery

3/4# fresh tiny bay shrimp, chilled, well drained
1 8oz jar cocktail sauce (or more to taste)
2 square packages cream cheese

slightly melt cream cheese in microwave or over double boiler, just enough to stir in the sauce and shrimp, combine well
dust with paprika, chill
and serve, chilled
with

Fritos Scoops
OR
toasted pita triangles
OR
tortilla chips
or toasted baguette slices
