Although I voted for Kasha Varnishkas, I did so only because it has always been my favorite "go to" comfort food ever since my late mom first made it for me as a young kid. And, It still is.
However, I was surprised to see it on this particular poll. Because, other than the occasional Jewish deli, I've never seen it on the menu of any other kind of "roadfood" restaurant I can think of. Despite the fact that it's not just popular with Jewish people. It's a very common dish in Eastern Europe. With or without the "bowtie" noodles.
