In the foreground is a nice slice of cranberry walnut torte. Behind it is a pot of Tribute Pu-Er, a tea that is customarily served with dim sum but was a fine companion for the sticky-good pastry.

An idea whose time may (or may not) have come, teappuccino is a smoothie made from black tea, espresso, chocolate, and ice cream. It looks pale but is strong. As much as I like tea and coffee and chocolate and ice cream, I'm not certain they all belong together!

Over several days visiting family in the area, I returned often to L'Amyx for tea, peace, and refreshment.
