Is this a great restaurant with amazing art or an amazing art gallery with a great restaurant? The meals are country comfort food par excellence, from meat loaf and beautiful breakfasts to the Kentucky classic hot brown sandwich. The Godzilla-size cookware outside is something else altogether!

"The phone number of Lynn’s Paradise Café is spelled out 583-EGGS, which gives you a hint that breakfast is big. It is served from opening at 8am through the lunch hour, and it ranges from beautifully prepared (and locally laid) eggs with grits and biscuits on the side ..."   [Read More]

"I found out about Lynn's thru Roadfood.com. I took my family and ordered a take-out order for my husband. I called ahead just like it was recommended and I am glad I did make a reservation. I went between 630 pm and 7 pm and it was packed when I arrived. The ..."   [Read More]

Louisville's own hot brown sandwich (invented at the Brown Hotel) is definitely knife-and-fork food. Under the mantle of broiled cheese are turkey slices, bacon, tomato, and sourdough bread.

Macaroni and cheese comes as a crusty block cut from the casserole. The top has a good crunch; the noodles underneath are soft and creamy.

Breakfast is indeed the best of the day at Lynn's. Here is a shot of the Praline French Toast. It was as good as it looks. I had the Shrimp Creole Scramble with some Cheese grits on the side. All in All a great pair of 'day-starters' Prices. Weekday breakfast are pretty casual, weekend are quite busy. Worth a stop.

Among the pancake choices at Lynn's are the multigrain crunchcakes. The crunch is from homemade cinnamon granola. The blueberries, a nice addition, cost extra.

If every restaurant offered oatmeal as good as Lynn's, I would order it more often. Shortly after the photo was taken, milk and brown sugar were added.

An unbalanced turkey dinner, the white meat and dressing accompanied by mac & cheese and cheese grits. The grits are especially delicious.

Someone once called this restaurant a place for the inner child in all of us. For those who want to express that side of their personality, or for those who really are children, tables are outfitted with little horsies to play with and crayons for drawing. There are also stacks of 'Truth or Crap?' trivia cards to quiz your tablemates.

Wild and crazy decor is Lynn's trademark. Every year, the restaurant sponsors an Ugly Lamp Contest; and some of the best examples adorn the booths along the wall.

Opened in the Crescent Hill neighborhood in 1991, Lynn's Paradise cafe moved to its current location three years later. Three meals a day are served seven days a week.

You won't have a hard time spotting Lynn's Paradise cafe from the road. This gargantuan coffee service marks the spot.
