Moomer's

7263 N. Long Lake Rd., Traverse City, MI - (231) 941-4122
Surrounded by farmland were cows graze across the grass, Moomer’s is an ideal place to eat ice cream. Seating is at booths in a rustic, wood-paneled dining room and out on a deck overlooking the fields. The turtle sundaes are excellent, as are ice cream floats made with Michigan's own Vernor's brand ginger ale.

Layering of caramel and fudge makes the turtle sundae a delicacy we never can resist; and this is one of the best there is. The goodness of the nuts makes a huge difference. These are crunchy, buttery, and full of flavor.

Moomer's is a rustic building out in cow country; where better to spoon into dairy-rich ice cream?

We don't know this for a fact, but we assume Moomer's name was chosen to honor bovine locution.
