Blackstone’s Café

205 Scott St., Beaufort, SC - (843) 524-4330
A bare-table cafe near the Beaufort waterfront, Blackstone's is a good destination for corned beef hash. It is chunky, brine-bright, and deeply satisfying. On the side come grits, eggs, and slices of toast or an English muffin. Ignore that breadstuff and chose a sticky bun instead. It is a soft, sweet mesa of dough that is plenty sticky and coated with chopped pecans.

Blackstone’s sticky bun is a fresh and tender, too sticky to be finger food.

Tucked on a side street away from the bustle of the business district, Blackstone’s is a breakfast destination for many locals and an inviting respite for visitors to the historic waterfront or to nearby Parris Island.

Shrimp and grits is on both the breakfast and lunch menu at Blackstone’s. It is an enormously satisfying bowl of food, rich with cheese and sprinkled with dill.
