Ed & Kay's

15228 I-30, Benton, AR - (501) 315-3663
Best known for its showstopping pies, Ed & Kay's also happens to be a great place for plate lunch. There may be only one or two hot entrées any day, but the list of side dishes is awesome. The pies to which you want to pay special attention are peanut butter cream and pecan.

Here is a slice of the lemon meringue pie. It quivers when the waitress sets it down on the table, and tends to fall apart as soon as you touch it with a fork.

Family-owned since Pat & Inez Newcomb opened the place in 1952, Ed & Kay's is located just south of Benton on the access road to I-30. It has won statewide awards not only for pie, but for best coffee and best waitresses.
