Helen's food is better than ever. Fish and chips is made with the freshest, sweetest haddock imaginable. The crust has a wicked crunch, yet the meat is juicy as could be. Do not under any circumstances miss dessert. Fresh blueberry pie is something to behold: a mix of fresh and cooked blueberries (mostly fresh) on a good crust, piled with whipped cream.

It was too early in the year for the fresh blueberry pie, so I had to 'settle' for this exceptional strawberry pie, with fresh whipped topping.

Usually the seafood platter includes scallops, but they were out on this day, which meant I received extra portions of haddock, shrimp and clams.  All were quite good, but the expertly fried haddock was the star.  Those are fiddleheads in the bowl at the top of the plate.

Helen's serves a dish of buttered picked lobster.  It's served over a piece of toast, resulting in a most luscious variation of a hot lobster roll.
