Although it dates back only to the 1970s, Lock Drugs hearkens back to a simpler time. No hot dishes are served. The repertoire of Lock is strictly soda fountain fare. There are malts, shakes, sodas, floats, and sundaes, and frosted Cokes, a drink made just like a milk shake but using Coca-Cola instead of milk.

Blue Bell ice cream, a local favorite, is the basis for this excellent black-and-white soda. We were particularly impressed by the nuts on top, which were fresh and crunchy.
