Holy Hill Cafe

1525 Carmel Road, Hubertus, WI - (262) 628-4295
Holy Hill Cafe is the restaurant in the 130-year-old Monastery at the Holy Hill Shrine. The cafe is known for homemade soups, breads and muffins, wallet-friendly sandwiches and Sunday brunch. About a dozen pies are baked each day. Top crusts are crisp but not overly brittle; the bottom crust remains flaky under its lode of fruit.

Sweet apples and berries in concert with sweet-tart rhubarb give this Fruits of the Forest pie a flavor that is kaleidoscopic. You can taste each and every fruit in the mix.

Flaky? You bet. Flavorful? Oh, my. We love the crust on this Holy Hill pie, which is a little sugar-sweet and cinnamon-spicy.

The soups here, like this bowl of chicken noodle, are homemade and hearty... perfect on a cold winter day.

Service here is cafeteria style. Just head to the front of the line and the young lady will hand you a partitioned paper plate.

Even though the sign says Old Monastery Inn Cafe and not Holy Hill Cafe, this is the right place.
