Munch Box

21532 Devonshire Street, Chatsworth, CA - (818) 998-9240
With its ’50s architecture and whimsical design, the Munch Box is an official historic landmark, and patrons visit frequently to enjoy burgers, hot dogs, fries, and sodas at picnic tables bathed in California sunshine. The chili dog is among the Valley’s best, and the hickory burger has a smoky flavor that makes it a very popular item. The shoestring fries are wonderfully crispy on their own, but a liberal blanket of chili and cheese transforms mere potatoes into pure Roadfood.

There’s usually a few early birds waiting for the Munch Box cooks to flip over the “Open” sign before lunch.

Though ample picnic tables are available, diners can sit at stools on the sidewalk. In the old days, there was even a hitching post for local equestrians.
