Ridgefield Ice Cream Shop

680 Danbury Rd., Ridgefield, CT - (203) 438-3094
The menu is huge, including all kinds of sundaes, milk shakes, and ice cream sandwiches. Cones (which are an especially tasty cookie-style) are available with their ice cream rolled in chocolate or multi-colored jimmies or dipped in either cherry or chocolate-flavored coating. Chocolate or vanilla: each is a paradigm for its flavor; and after one lick, no lesser soft-serve ice cream will ever satisfy.

If you want a cake from the Ridgefield Ice Cream Shop, order it in advance. It is 100% better than the kind that come from franchised ice cream parlors.

Many of the house specialties are available frozen, to take home and put in the freezer. They're swell, but cannot compare to ice cream freshly produced by the soft-serve machine.

The secret of Ridgefield Ice Cream Shop's goodness is in the vintage machines used to produce the ice cream. There's none richer this side of Wisconsin.

One thing we especially like about this place is that it is open year-around. Ice cream isn't only for summer any more!
