La Cabana

840 N. Grand Ave. #12, Nogales, AZ - (520) 287-8208
Here are the best chilies rellenos we’ve had in recent memory: packed with deep green-chile flavor, oozing melted cheese, and enrobed in a luscious fried crust. If you like chilies rellenos, put La Cabana on your must-eat map. We also sampled steamy corn tamales, spicy enchiladas, a crisp-crusted taco, and a beef burrito filled with meat that was moist and pot-roast tender.

Good salsa comes with chips at the beginning of the meal. The salsa is also good for heating up guacamole or later courses, if you like four-alarm food. Most of what La Cabana serves rates fairly modest numbers on the Scoville Scale of chile hotness. The teeny-weenie limes on the left are good for spritzing on just about everything that comes to the table.

The flour tortillas La Cabana makes are plain and simple ... and impossible to stop eating.

La Cabana is a happy place where locals come for good eats and cool beer.

Most people think of La Cabana for lunch or supper; but there's no better way to start the day than with a plate of huevos rancheros with chorizo sausage.
