Varsity

108 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, SC - (803) 328-3110
The Varsity owners pride themselves on their home-cooked plate lunches and from-scratch desserts. It is the town’s sole proprietor for Watkins hot dogs. Watkins’ meat chili boasts a balance of spices and beefy goodness, and when mounded on a steamed wiener with a line of mustard and coleslaw, it is the quintessential Rock Hill lunch.

When you order sweet tea (and why wouldn’t you?), a mini-pitcher for easy refills arrives at your table.

Spying spinach on the specials board, we asked for some scrambled with eggs and fresh mushrooms. Notice the grated potatoes used for hash browns.
