You can watch them made at Old Fashioned Donuts, and chances are good the donuts you buy will still be warm from the dowel where they are put from the fry kettle. We've never had a bad one, and the seasonal blueberry (summer) and cider (fall) are great; but the piece de resistance is an enormous apple fritter, loaded with juicy nuggets of fruit and heavily glazed.
