A Honolulu institution since the 1950's, it is pronounced lee-kay lee-kay and started out as a carhop drive-in before being rebuilt once or twice. Open 24 hours a day, the menu has something for everyone, from breakfast to local favorites (saimin, oxtail stew, loco moco) to full dinners.
Most people seem to go for the full dinners or steaks, but everything is great. The service is fast, the food is consistent and excellent, and the wait staff is a kick. Don't miss the double-crust banana pie. They also have great pancakes, and the steaks come out of kitchen on sizzling metal platters, smelling great.
Prices are reasonable, but bring cash as they don't take credit cards. Like Like Drive Inn is a throwback; you'll feel like you're back in the 50's. Also, if you are visiting Hawaii, you won't see any other tourists; they haven't discovered this place.
