The Glitz is a visual and culinary haven in the middle of the beautiful Bluegrass countryside in Nonesuch, just outside of Versailles, Kentucky, near Lexington. Run by two sisters, the Glitz is inside Irish Acres, an old country school choc-full with antiques, jewelry, and "sensory stimulating" arifacts. The Glitz (when you see it, you'll understand the name!) is open for lunch only, Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 to 2:00, with a fixed price menu currently at $17.99. Your meal includes a special introductory drink called an apple cranberry spiced refresher, followed by a choice of appetizers, entrees, desserts, and beverages. The signature dessert at the Glitz is not to be missed: the Nonesuch Kiss is a meringue shell topped with jamoca ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, almonds and a cherry - TRIPLE DELISH! Special attention is paid to presentation, so it always feels like a special occasion! The menu changes every two weeks. They are closed between January 1st and March 17th.
" The Nonesuch Kiss is Emily McCauley's signature dessert, which she says was inspired by her memories of malted milk balls."

"This is Irish Acres Antiques (in an old country school), which includes The Glitz Restaurant. The Glitz operates in the old school cafeteria (but it no longer looks remotely like a cafeteria),where they still cook on the original stove!"
