Blackstone’s Café

205 Scott St., Beaufort, SC - (843) 524-4330

We took a motorcycle ride to Beaufort just to have breakfast at Blackstone's Cafe. Shrimp & grits & eggs & crabmeat & hot french bread... wonderful! The friendly staff were working hard to make sure everyone was well fed and watered.

The last thing I ever expected to see in Beaufort, South Carolina was the free WiFi along with signs encouraging folks to pop open their laptop and stay a while. Drink coffee, eat shrimp, check your email. Breakfast and lunch until 2:30PM daily.

Nestled between fried eggs on the left and a drift of grits on the right is some of the finest corned beef hash for miles around.

Blackstone’s sticky bun is a fresh and tender, too sticky to be finger food.

Tucked on a side street away from the bustle of the business district, Blackstone’s is a breakfast destination for many locals and an inviting respite for visitors to the historic waterfront or to nearby Parris Island.

Shrimp and grits is on both the breakfast and lunch menu at Blackstone’s. It is an enormously satisfying bowl of food, rich with cheese and sprinkled with dill.
