Baba À Louis

Route 11, Chester, VT - (802) 875-4666

One of the best dang bakeries around these parts and that is no bunch of lies. I wish they were still in Proctorsville, so I could still walk to it like I used to. Now I gotta ride my bicycle after that last dang DUI. Awesome French bread and sticky buns. Lemme tell ya, I know a thing or two about sticky buns and these are out of this world, baby, out of this world!

Sweet, buttery, and as delicate as a croissant, Baba A Louis' sticky buns are unsurpassed.

From the Baba A Louis web site:
"From the Baba A Louis web site: "There is a real treat nestled amongst the Green Mountains in Chester, Vermont. Next to an old barn, John McLure and Ruth Zezza have constructed a building that is very difficult to describe other than to say it is beautiful... Somewhat hiddden from the main road, the bakery welcomes you with enchanting one-of-a-kind windows, lots of natural lighting, radiant heat from the italian tiles and the smell of bread baking.""

The bakery cases are filled with brownies, meringue bites, date bars, exlairs, twists, turnovers, and these brilliant-flavored lemon bars.
