El Bruno's

6448 Main Street, Cuba, NM - (505) 289-9429

I cannot say enough about El Bruno's in Cuba, NM. It's beautiful on the outside, with nice interior decor, a friendly staff, and the most wonderful food (and very nice restrooms). There isn't much in Cuba so finding an outstanding restaurant was a major surprise and, believe me, this restaurant would be outstanding anywhere.

I had the house margarita and it was one of the best I've ever had. There was a girl making wonderful tortillas. Everything smelled so good I wanted to try them all, so I had the sampler plate and, wow, was I glad. Every single thing was incredibly good.

My husband had the chicken burrito and it was excellent, too. Even the chips and salsa on the table were wonderful. And the sopapilla? It was the best ever. I saved a little green chile sauce to put on the sopapilla with a drop of honey: oh my goodness, this was a gift from the universe.

So if you find yourself in Cuba, NM be sure to stop at El Bruno's. You'll be glad you did.

What better way to have a sopapilla than stuffed with chicken, beans, green chile, and cheese?

Although the food at El Bruno's hit the spot, our favorite part of the meal was the spicy, chunky salsa that accompanied a basket of chips!
