I went to Santa Fe for work. My group avoided the chain places like the plague. We ate plenty of incredible food at some of the local places. Everybody kept asking if we had been to Harry's yet. We got to Santa Fe on a Monday, and by Friday afternoon as we're packing to leave, everybody in the office tells us, nay orders us, to go to Harry's for our last night in town. So we did. Just as the name on the door implies, it is an authentic roadhouse and, yes, Harry is in the kitchen.
To say the food is sublime is to do Harry and his food a grave injustice. The pulled pork is incredibly smoky, juicy, barbeque-ee, and tender, with just the right amount of chew. Oh, I wish I could only make BBQ one-tenth as well. The desserts are all made in their kitchen and could not be any fresher. The blueberry pie is probably the best blueberry pie I have ever eaten. The crust is amazingly flaky, and the blueberries are plump and juicy, and not swimming in gloopy blue stuff.
The staff was incredibly accomodating. Harry's is a real joint that serves real food. If only all the chains would just dry up so Harry's could flourish in their place. In conclusion, I am planning to take my wife to Santa Fe just to try Harry's. So I would not only drive 100 miles to go there, I am flying 2500 to go there!
PS: Harry also sells a cookbook with recipes for some of the best sellers. He will sign it for you. It is worth it's weight in gold, platinum and diamonds. Every recipe works just right.

Overall: Worth driving from anyplace
