You just gotta stop at Mile Marker 24 on the north side (the right going toward Key West) at this small but immaculate shop. They have terrific baked goods and some unique and delicious food for that break in the action before you get into the craziness that is Key West.

Chef/owner Anne Rodamer and her mom Darlene will put it on you with delicious sandwiches (always check the specials), fantastic coffee, and a super baked goods selection. I am guessing that this is a "locals" hangout because when we were there (two times) we sat on the patio with contractors and charter skippers as well as tourists. What a nice break in the action, to have a good place to stop after leaving Marathon/Grassy Key, just about half-way to Key West. We will be sure to stop in again and sit out on the flowery deck with Anne serving from the kitchen and doing her thing. Next time we plan to have breakfast as I heard it is super.
