Dianda's Italian Pastries

2883 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA - (415) 647-5469

Dianda's Italian Pastries is an old world bakery in the heart of the Mission district, located between 24th and 25th Streets (despite its address at 2883) on Mission Street.

The baked goods are made with bleached white flour, saturated fats, refined white sugar, and other ingredients that are known to the state of California to be both caloric and delicious. Eat at your own peril, and in moderation. I have to confess that I have tasted the goods but not indulged in them, as the proximity of Roadfood favorites Mission Pie and Taqueria San Jose used up my allotted calories. Still, I found the Florentiners delicious and the cookies wonderful.

I would not hesitate to eat anything they produced. If you love pastry, this is your home. I love this city and plan to return.
