Along with thousands of locals, we've been coming to this restaurant for years. Make it a point to take your out of town guests for the best Mexican food around. When you step in the door, you'll know you're in a local eatery that cares more for its food than its surroundings. But, for what the restaurant lacks in decoration and ambiance, it definitely makes up for in its cuisine.

There is a reason this restaurant has been around for 70 years. The food is great! If you're not a local that's been coming here your entire life, the service will be lacking but the authentic Mexican cuisine will be worth it. Be sure to try the carne ssada dinner and albondigas soup. In between the amazing chips, salsa and guacamole course and your entree comes a strange little salad with a mayonnaise-type dressing (no choice). This is more evidence of the authenticity of the restaurant's Mexican heritage. There is nothing on the menu that comes out of a can. It is all handmade, including their chips and hand-tossed corn and flour tortillas.

The food is so good, my Caucasian wife's now speaking Spanish. Difrute! (Enjoy!)
