The food was ok, not much flavor in the burgers... Was the worst service in the world, asked for onion chips and got onion rings instead, asked about it and got no apology. Waitress was drinking on the job, and when we went up to pay, she was talking to someone and would not stop long enough to let us pay for our food. We stood there for 2 minutes, asked if she could get our payment going and she said "you can hang on until I am done talking", talk about RUDE!! We were outsiders from Sioux City, IA and you walk in the bar and you do not feel welcome AT ALL, the towns folk and even the workers just stare you down like they dont want you there and not to mention, the place was FILTHY! we had to wipe crumbs off a table so we could sit down and the restrooms are scarily unsanitary!! This place is a DUMP and iI dont know how it got on the top 51 burger joints of America!

Bob's Bar is a little bar in a little town with big burgers. If you are a fan of burgers, Bob's bar is an essential destination. The words "Biggest Burger" are used a lot. There are five burger joints within five miles of where I live all claiming to have the biggest burgers. None of them are even close to comparing to Bob's. Bob's Bar is known throughout the region for it's huge portions.

The bar is a dive. The restrooms are as frightening as something out of Trainspotting. The rear fire exit is bolted shut. The once white (now yellow) ceiling shows no signs of ever having been cleaned. But people don't go for the ambiance, they go for the food.

Bob's buys their hamburger meat in huge tubes. They don't form it into patties, they just slice the tube. The burgers are served with onion and pickles on the side. Somehow the simple combination works to create a very satisfying burger. I usually cut the burger in half so that it fits into the bun. One time, someone came in, saw my burger, and ordered a double cheese burger. The waitress laughed and assured him that a single patty was sufficient.

The sides are larger than the average person can eat. Two sides will usually satisfy a family of five. Bob's Bar really is the home of the Big Burgers.
