This 1950s-era walk-up serves the ultimate in "hangover cure" cuisine. The grilled cheese with bacon or ham, slathered with butter, and washed down with a Mountain Dew, is a wonderful "curative."

Their half-smokes are the best on the Virginia side of the Potomac and they also offer the rarest treat in DC: an Eastern Carolina-style minced pork BBQ sandwich! I know you are wondering about their whole-hog pit ... (pay no attention to the man behind the curtain) ... it comes out of a can. And so does beluga caviar.
