"I walked to White House Subs from the Tropicana, which was a nice distance to work up an appetite. I arrived there only to find the line outside the door and down the sidewalk. I enjoyed the 45 minute wait, just hanging out with the other sub lovers. Once inside the ..."   [Read More].

"If you're ever in Atlantic City, I suggest you eat at White House Sub Shop on Arctic Avenue. My family is originally from Jersey and I had never been there. It is such a fantastic place to go, and not only for the food; the atmosphere is key. There's nothing like ..."   [Read More].

"My first visit ever to White House: we arrived 8:30pm on Easter Saturday. I'd say it was probably a slow night for them. There were two counter seats and two booths open; the line did run the entire length of the restaurant. The waitstaff was very friendly, but the ..."   [Read More].

"We always get a White House Special when we visit. But the Special is a special version of what? Well, this sub, a "regular". Same ingredients, less meat. Even this one is more than you can probably eat, but we'd give the nod to the Special anyway. It just seems more... special."

This is a full tuna sub. You sometimes hear the full-size subs are over a foot long, but in fact they must be about a yard in length.

The unique thing about a White House tuna sub is that the tuna doesn't seem to be mixed with mayo. We're not really sure how it's prepared; kind of seems like it's dressed with oil. Anyway, this is one of the world's great tuna sandwiches.

Of all the celebrities honored on the White House walls, none is more revered than The Chairman of the Board. Sinatra, after all, was a New Jersey boy himself.

The White House has not franchised, proliferated, or otherwise watered-down its formula for excellence. And if you doubt that, read this notice posted behind the counter!

Formica Brothers Italian Bakery is a major reason for the legend of White House. The bread is impeccably fresh.

That's a full-sized chef's knife, not a paring knife. A whole sub is A LOT of sub.
