Louisiana Roadfood Festival - Saturday Evening

crawfish boil

Saturday, April 4th, 2009
6:00 PM - 10:30+ PM

Here is the plan for the Roadfood.com get-together. The people who have bought tickets in advance will set out in three buses from the French Quarter on Saturday evening, about 6pm, for a picnic in the Louisiana lowlands a half-hour from the city. Here we are going to dive into a proper feast of what is arguably America's most distinctive regional cuisine, the menu including a full-scale crawfish boil (April is the peak of crawfish season), a shrimp boil, an open-pit pig roast, corn and potatoes, and sausage-and-chicken jambalaya. Plus all the beer and wine you can drink! Live local music and entertainment will be on hand to add to the Cajun flavor. It is sure to be a memorable evening of eating, drinking, dancing, story-telling, socializing, and picture-taking.

Tickets will be $95 per person, including everything: food, beer, wine, entertainment, and transportation to and from the French Quarter.

We look forward to having you join us!

Sorry, this event has been sold out.
