White Farms Ice Cream - Ipswich, MA

Located just up the road from the Clam Box of Ipswich, White Farms is a classic New England ice cream stand with a cow on the roof that has been serving up scoops for over a half-century. Fans of brain freezes are in luck, as White Farms serves up hefty scoops of light, airy ice cream that can be eaten in much greater quantities than its heavy, butter-fat laden counterparts. A new 1,000-foot addition was built onto the original structure in spring of 2008, bringing with it the North End pizza franchise, Sal's.

Overall Experiencerating
Maple Walnut Ice Cream - Lots of nuts, but the maple taste peters out quickly rating
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream - Little chocolate taste and few peanut butter cups. rating
Cow Trax Ice Cream - Vanilla ice cream with an abundance of peanut butter cups, which overwhelm the actual ice cream. The texture of the ice cream was crumbly like fresh butter. rating
Vanilla Ice Cream - Another icy vanilla flavor that begs for toppings. rating
Hot Fudge Sauce - This thin sauce was virtually tasteless and had a strange caramel color. A hot fudge that actually outshone the vanilla ice cream. rating
