You may need to hop over to Ft. Walton for hole in the wall. There are a lot of various Asian places over there as a result of all the military people over there who served in Asia and acquired the tastes. Many Asian Brides over there too!
http://www.emeraldcoastfl.com/activities/destin-dining/index.cfm?c=105
One of my favorite places was :
http://www.harbordocks.com/Harbor_Docks/Welcome.html
Gets a 4 out of 5 rating on Yelp.
http://www.yelp.com/biz/harbor-docks-destin

If you want to venture over to P'cola, here's 2 favorites:
http://www.mcguiresirishpub.com/
They also have a place in Destin.
Peg Leg's is directly on P'cola Beach and has been written up on here:
http://www.peglegpetes.com/

Re:Destin Florida Area (kevincad)

Kahuna55

HI! We are planning a semi annual trip to Destin, Florida. What we are looking for are places to eat that aren't like the typical "Tourist" places but "Hole in the Wall" places where the locals go.
Thanks!
Kahuna55

Give Dewey Destin's a try. Not exactly a road food place, but good seafood, and a nice view.
Destin Florida Area (Kahuna55)

HI! We are planning a semi annual trip to Destin, Florida. What we are looking for are places to eat that aren't like the typical "Tourist" places but "Hole in the Wall" places where the locals go.
Thanks!
Kahuna55
