Crista_Lite: I saw them this summer in the Whole Foods in East Liberty on Centre Avenue. I don't know if they're still carrying them. It's been a while since I looked :-)

Agree. Just two days ago, five of us hurried through the cold parking lot to get to the warm confines of the Jeni's store in Clintonville. We all just got ice cream but I noticed that they did have a hot chocolate for 2 service as an option if the cold gets the better of you. My three choices for the trio were the milkiest chocolate in the world, black coffee, and double toasted coconut. Excellent as always.

OK, I'm done wiping the tears from my eyes, I laughed so hard!!! I knew all along he wanted some ice cream which was why I kept saying No.....therefore making me definitely NOT a Really Good Wife!

I don't mean to stick my nose in where it doesn't belong, but being a member of the Male Species, and knowing how that mind works, I'm pretty sure MH wasn't asking you if you wanted Ice Cream. He was asking if he could have some Ice Cream. A Really Good Wife who Loves Her Husband would just say, "Yes," and suffer quietly through the ordeal.

Since the end of summer and therefore the end of fresh peach we hadn't stopped at our local Graeter's. We pass by it nearly every day and MH always asks, "Want to stop for ice cream?" To which I have been replying, "No, too cold." A few days ago it was warm and sunny so we stopped. I got the Blueberry Pie which was loaded with blueberries and chunks of flaky pie crust. Delicious. Definitely a runner-up to the peach.

Icecreamchick, which Whole Foods has the macaroons?! I lived in Columbus for 6 months and fell in love with Jeni's macaroons but can only find the pints so far. Thanks!

Unfortunately for out waistlines there is a Graeter's store about 2 miles from the house. We have been enjoying their fresh peach all summer. YUM!!!

This time of year Graeter's Fresh Peach is my double scoop waffle-cone choice. When Fall comes I switch to Mocha Chip. Jeni's is not currently in any of our stores here.

Like Lori, I discovered Graeter's at my local Giant Eagle a few months ago. And you can be rest assured that there is a pint or six of black raspberry chip in my freezer at all times.

That is great news about Jeni's. Now I will start keeping an eye out for that.

I understand completely.

For the odd flavors, Jeni's is good, but for ice cream quality (richness, denseness, flavor intensity) I like Graeter's better.

I started finding Graeters' ice creams in Pittsburgh Giant Eagle stores this spring. Then I found Jeni's Macaroons (high-class ice cream sandwiches) in Whole Foods (yes, aka Whole Paycheck). Today I found tiny pints of Jeni's in the freezers at the East End Food Co-Op, where I do a lot of our shopping, especially produce.

They had Jeni's Dark Chocolate, Salty Caramel and Wildberry Lavender. Since I knew we had some Ghiradelli fudge sauce left over from a recipe in the fridge, I got Salty Caramel.

I am in heaven. If Ralph is lucky, I'll leave him some ;-)

Y'all would probably not believe how excited I was to see this!!!
