The one that I was mentioning was the one in Melbourne Florida and there is only one other related to it and it's in downtown Melbourne. That is funny that there are a couple others out there and that they serve Vienna Beef as well!

There are a few Mustard's Last Stands and none are related. The first was opened in 1969 in Evanston, IL. www.mustardschicago.com There is another Mustard's Last Stand in Boulder, CO. All serve Vienna Beef products.

Mustard's does a good dog...but their Italian Beef
is very good. Sweet and hot giardiniera and good Au Jus.

The answer to that is that there is a dog under the calamari and it's surprisingly very good !

Mustard's Last Stand was established in 1987 in Melbourne, Florida and has only opened one other chain in March 2006 in downtown historic Melbourne that honors later hours. They serve Vienna Beef Style hot dogs with all types of delicious toppings. It's a family owned dinner that offers indoor and patio seating which is very nice.

Here are a few good ones:

The Squidward dog topped with grilled onions, calamari and spicy ranch. yum

The eggstacy dog! A jumbo dog split and grilled with cheddar, bacon and a fried egg.

THE SNOOP DOG
Bacon, cheese, jalapeño & onion rings!

Yes it is Chicago style food ! They are very good there they now have a foot long dog, fries and a cold drink for $5. It's definitely worth it.

My travels used to take me to Melbourne once a month and I ate at Mustards Last Stand a few times. Good dogs, as I recall they were Vienna Beef and they had a lunch special of 2 dogs, fries and cold drink for $5. Definitely could use a roadfood review if someone was nearby or traveling through. Don't believe it would qualify as a destination stop though.
I do recall some tie-in to Chicago besides the obvious, maybe the owners were from there.

Must be a second store for the original is in Evanston, IL on Central street outside of Northwestern's football stadium. Is it Chicago-style food? The original opened around 1968.

That's a very clever name for a hot dog place. Personally, mustard is all I like on my dog. Well, possibly a little sauerkraut or a little chopped raw onion, too.

Mustard's Last Stand in Melbourne Florida Is the best place I have ever had a hot dog at! All kinds of crazy toppings that i wouldn't of thought would be good on a hot dog are very good!! We don't have places like that back where I'm originally from in Missouri!!
