The Good Egg Thu, 10/31/13 5:07 PM (permalink)
I just spent 4 days in Tucson, ate at The Good Egg, it was mid afternoon so I got a burger, damn good. I also got a crock of Chili, completely tasteless. Anyone familiar with this small chain?

I didn't know it was a chain. I ate breakfast at the Good Egg in Scottsdale back in 2011. It wasn't bad. I was going to have eggs Benedict, but when I read their take on it I was disappointed. Thin sliced ham instead of Canadian bacon. So I ordered a breakfast of three eggs over easy with potatoes, and sausage patties. After that I stuck with the Five and Diner for their terrific chicken fried steak and eggs and home fries.

I opened this thread becaue i feared that it was this place, which is truly vile.

The Good Egg looks good, (almost as good as that cute waitress in slide #3 on their site).

The Good Egg is an AZ based small chain with 20 locations.

The menu is similar to a Denny's but the quality of their ingredients and service are a notch above them.
The restaurants are pleasantly decorated, comfortable and clean.
They feature a variety of Southwest Breakfast platters along with regular fare.
            It's a good place to eat .

The pharma company I currently work for also owns a chain of resturants featuring eggs.  They have several locations now and are opening many more.  I have never seen one or dined there.  Maybe some of you have.?????

                Thanks, Paul.

Mrs. Metro and I always go out for Sunday breakfast (not "brunch") - and we are always looking for "something new".

Like all chains they are either already in or "coming soon" to Dallas (where  In-N-Out and Five Guys first met).

                Thanks for the "heads-up".
