The Wienery in Sacramento Ca. is a brick & mortar restaurant that has some of the best Hot Dogs in town, I usually order the Italian Summer. That is actually a large plump juicy italian sausage served in a perfectly warm steamed bun with mustard topped with a very tasty house made Peperonata. All their sides are fresh house made and dialed in (delicious) Owner owned and operated business with prompt friendly service.

Have you tried Top Dog in Berkeley? How does it compare?

Do The Wienery and Top Dog stuff their own sausages or have them made according to house recipes?

Top Dog's been a fixture in Berkeley for many years. They stuff all of their own dogs and sausages and have an excellent choice of types, from your basic Kosher-style dogs to Italian style calabrese, mango habanero and bockwurst. I think you'd like them.

The Wienery has them made specially for them (not to sure who makes them) They do make all their sides, soups, salads.dressings and toppings in house and are quite good in of them selfs.

I'll have to check the Wienery out on one of my drives north some time.

Hot Doug's!....Checked it out about 3 weeks ago on a Saturday. Why? One reason is the duck fat fries (Fridays and Saturdays only). I had "The Game of the Week" which happens to be featured as one special for today. Best dogs I've ever had.

I knew it. Doug's is a bit "over the top", but what an experience.
