Places to eat between Atlanta and New Orleans Tue, 05/18/10 3:25 PM (permalink)
I'll be driving with kids from Atlanta to New Orleans, going down I-85 south to Montgomery, 65 south to Mobile and 10-west to New Orleans.  Looking for great places to eat along the way.  Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much for all the great suggestions.  Those are exactly the areas I was hoping to hear about.  we're staying at Le Pavillon in NO.  Planning to hit good, kid friendly stops.  Defintiely going to Acme or Felix's, Mandina's, Parkway Bakery and Cafe du Monde.

            Thanks again.

When you get to NOLA, stay away from the French Quarter when you're looking for food. Check out St. Bernard Parish and hit up Rocky & Carlo's, the mac and cheese unforgettable!
